General strategy for merge games, applied to Piece of Cake: Merge and Bake. Play the game here.

• Work backwards from orders. Check what customers want, then make only the items in that chain.
• Merge immediately. A full board is the most common way to get stuck. Combine pairs as soon as they appear.
• Don't over-produce. Tapping generators nonstop fills the board with low-level items you can't use yet.
• Keep a spare lower-tier item. One leftover of each tier means the next copy can be merged right away.
• Prioritise renovations that continue the story. They unlock new areas and new puzzles.
• Claim daily missions. Free prizes every day make progress smoother.
• Use boosters wisely. Save them for big or slow orders.
• Special orders are worth it. They pay additional rewards on top of normal orders.
